Human study discussedA phase II trial in 338 adults with obesity or overweight reported mean weight reduction of 24.2% in its highest treatment group at 48 weeks, versus 2.1% with placebo. Gastrointestinal adverse events and dose-related heart-rate increases were observed. The 48-week result was a secondary endpoint; it does not provide a head-to-head comparison with other drugs or predict results from an AUREVIX preparation.
