Two randomized RECONNECT trials of bremelanotide in premenopausal women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder found improvements in desire and related distress scores. They did not show a significant difference in the number of satisfying sexual events. Nausea, flushing and headache were reported. The studied population and medicine do not establish a general sexual-performance benefit for all users.
