Preclinical evidenceA study in intestinal and immune-cell cultures found reduced inflammatory signaling after KPV uptake through the PepT1 transporter. In two mouse models of chemically induced colitis, researchers also reported lower inflammatory measures. This supports investigation of intestinal inflammation pathways, but does not establish treatment of inflammatory bowel disease in people or digestive illness in dogs.
